Decision Kit.
Work through seven questions before committing time or money. Record your answers and the evidence behind them.

What job do I need done?
Name one specific task and the obstacle slowing it down. How do you handle it today? Would improving the existing process solve the problem?
What would a useful result look like?
Describe an output you could actually use. Set a simple test: the required quality, accuracy, format and time available. Keep an example of your current result for comparison.
Does this exact edition cover the task?
Check included features, usage credits, limits, required upgrades and commercial-use rights. Record current terms. Do not assume a feature in a demonstration is included in the advertised price.
What work remains for me?
Follow a demonstration of a task similar to yours. List inputs, setup, manual steps, editing and other services needed. If a trial is available, test the complete workflow with a small sample.
What evidence supports the claims?
Separate what you tested, what current documentation explains and what the seller claims. Note missing evidence. A polished demonstration is one example, not a promise of your results.
What will the full workflow cost?
Add the plan price, credits, necessary upgrades, connected services and your setup or review time. Check renewal prices and cancellation terms. Compare the total with a tool you already have.
Can I get help and leave cleanly?
Check support, refund conditions, export formats and access after cancellation. Before uploading information, check how the service handles it and whether you have permission to share it.
Your evidence check
0 = unresolved or not met. 1 = some evidence, with a meaningful question remaining. 2 = current terms or a practical test supports your answer.
This score compares the research you have done. It does not predict a tool’s quality or your results.
Choose your next step.
Reuse what you have. Ask a precise question. Wait for clearer evidence. Buy when the important checks and budget fit.
